In late December 2023, Block embarked on a road trip to Ireland to visit as many colleges as possible and universities to demonstrate our Vocational Automotive trainers, which was an exciting and mutually advantageous process. This outreach allowed for direct engagement with potential future professionals in the automotive industry, as well as the opportunity to showcase the latest advancements in automotive technology and training.

We love nothing more than an opportunity build relationships with academic institutions and establish partnerships which grow through collaborations and our unique ability to design and manufacture Training rigs which are invariably bespoke to clients unique requirements. By demonstrating the automotive trainers at colleges and universities, we showcased their capabilities and benefits to both educators and students alike.

In addition to product demonstrations, the road trip also included informative sessions or workshops tailored to the specific needs of each institution. These sessions covered topics such as industry trends, technological advancements, and the importance of hands-on training in automotive education. By sharing expertise and knowledge, Block are, without question, a valuable resource within the academic community providing industry expertise which is critical in the delivery of first rate education.

Geoff Block, Sherard Block and Lee Trussler (seen in the above photo) enjoyed a two-week tour, meeting lots of old friends and meeting many new individuals who have joined the swelling ranks of Automotive training in Ireland. Our guys took two vehicles from our fleet (seen in the photo) and whilst delivering to clients we also brought a selection of our trainers, specifically the Nissan Electric Vehicle trainer, Toyota Hybrid trainer and various other training rigs.

Through engagement with colleges and universities in Ireland, Block had an opportunity to gain insights into regional variations in automotive education and training needs. Each institution has its own unique requirements and focus areas, and by actively listening to their feedback and observing their operations, Block can develop a strategy that is bespoke to the centre’s individual requirements.

Overall, the road trip to Ireland visiting colleges and universities to demonstrate automotive trainers was a multifaceted endeavour that combines product promotion, relationship building, market research, and increasing brand awareness. By approaching this journey strategically and with a focus on meaningful engagement, Block has created lasting impressions within the academic community which is immensely important to our firm.
