Block Automotive Limited (hereafter referred to as “BAL”) are delighted that you have chosen to purchase your new Vocational Training equipment assured in the knowledge that the careful attention to detail in all stages of design, fabrication and assembly will ensure that you have chosen a high quality, CE Marked training rig that will deliver years of faultless service.
BAL are therefore pleased to provide written confirmation of their Two-year warranty promise for this equipment as detailed below, which is underwritten by Block Automotive Limited.
Standard Two Year Manufacturer Warranty
BAL warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal residential use and conditions, for a period of two year for the original invoice date.
BAL agrees, at its option during the warranty period, to repair any defect in material, workmanship or to furnish a repaired or refurbished product of equal value in exchange without charge (this is at the discretion of BAL depending on the nature of works needed as charges may be levied, to the customer, for collection and return of said item). Such repair or replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and proof of purchase (if requested by BAL) showing the model number on original dated sales receipt.
· BAL warrants the mechanism, engine, electrics, battery (Laminated lithium ion 192 cell or Nickel Metal Hydride cell units) and frame parts against manufacturing and material defects for TWO years. It does not cover damage or failure resultant of misuse, vandalism, and poor maintenance.
· BAL warrants the combustion Engine rigs as supplied featuring either petrol and common rail diesel engines for cars and commercial vehicles as relevant to the individual vocational training unt supplied. against defective parts and failures occurred in the product for TWO years. It does not cover damage or failure resultant of misuse, vandalism, and poor maintenance.(full scope of components cover advised upon request)
· BAL warrant the engine and supporting electronic systems and laminated lithium ion multi cell battery and the nickel Metal Hydride units, supplied with either Electric vehicles or Hybrid vehicles. BAL warrants against defective parts and failures occurred in the product for a period of TWO years, it does not cover damage or failure resultant of misuse, vandalism and poor maintenance.
· All additional fixings and rubber mounts and general wear and tear do not constitute a defect under the warranty.
- Construction – BAL warrants the fabrication and construction process used on your vocational training rig against; seam failure, electronic malfunction, and engine failure for TWO years. BAL cannot cover DETERIATION, which is a result of normal wear and tear, nor fading, which can be caused by overexposure to sunlight.
- Paintwork – BAL warrants against failure and material defects for a TWO year. This does not extend to damage resultant from accidental impact or misuse, vandalism or damage the will adversely effect the performance of the paint product applied via powder coating and finishing
- In respect of Consequential loss direct or indirect, BAL does not cover unless proven to be resultant from the failure of the training unit purchased
Warranty Limitations & Exclusions
This warranty does not include:
· Any condition resulting from other than ordinary wear or any use for which the product was not intended.
· Any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance or care
· Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents or external or third-party shipping damage
· Dissatisfaction due to buyer’s remorse
· Theft or loss of the product
· The replacement of regularly replacement items and or consumable items
· Breakdown due to Flood
· Breakdown due to Fire
· Damages incurred during transportation, via third party agents
· Damages incurred during assembly or maintenance not carried out by a BAL engineer
· This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or damage due to acts of God, accidents, misuse or modification of, or to any part of the product as so implemented by the client
· This warranty is invalid if the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product
BAL makes no express warranty or condition whether written or oral, additionally BAL expressly disclaims all warranties and conditions not stated in this limited warranty. To the extent allowed by the local law of jurisdictions outside the United Kingdom, BAL disclaims all implied warranties or conditions, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. For all transactions occurring in the United Kingdom, any implied warranty of condition of merchantability, satisfactory quality, or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of the express warranty set forth above.
Some countries do not allow a limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages for consumer products. In such countries, some exclusions or limitations of this limited warranty may not apply to the Purchaser. For consumer transaction, the limited warranty terms contained in this statement, except to the extent lawfully permitted, do not exclude, restrict, or modify but are in addition to the mandatory statutory rights applicable to the sale of this Product to the Purchaser.
All warranty claims must be filed by the costumer to BAL, who in turn will raise the warranty request job number and contact you with such guidance as regards timescale & method of repair or the arrangements to return of the vocational training equipment for all such warranty work.
Please retain invoices for a minimum of TWO year for warranty purposes.
Claim Procedures
· Claims for defective merchandise must be made within TWO years from invoice date. Claims for missing parts must be made within 60 calendar days after the merchandise is initially received
· Any defective merchandise returns must be packed prior to return.
· We reserve the right to specify that items be returned to the BAL for offsite inspection or be inspected by our representative in the field/onsite
· If the claim is justified, the item(s) or part(s) will be repaired or replaced, or a credit will be issued. It is our policy to replace parts whenever possible
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which vary from Country to Country.
Warranty Period Upgrade
BAL are pleased to offer all of our clients the opportunity to upgrade their 2-year product warranty cover to 6 years ( via the purchase of additional warranty cover), this can be organised when speaking to the sales team at point of purchase.
We can also retrospectively apply extended cover following the expiry of the primary period of cover. We offer additional periods of cover from 12 month to 48 months depending on the plan elected by the client. This will be a separately billed item and will require an asset inspection by our BAL engineer to affirm that the Training Rig is in mechanical sound condition and qualifies for our extend warranty plan
