As recently discussed, one of our clients showcased their views on the invaluable benefits of Hybrid and Electric Vehicle trainers to provide vocational training for students in the college environment.
The specialist training equipment that Block Automotive produce, simulates switchable ‘real world’ electric/hybrid vehicle faults to accurate replicate potential breakdown situations for technicians to diagnose and repair getting the client back on the road in an expedient manner.
To the best of our knowledge 1000’s of students, technicians and mobile patrol operatives have been trained on these types of rigs. They have all benefited from the ability to have easy access, in a controlled environment, to view the operating systems and mechanical attributes of the vehicle, in a clear and easily accessed manner. The training is essential both for the safety of the technicians and indeed to help repair Hybrid & EV’s when they either develop faults or break down in the field.
As with all things in life, timing is essential, the UK Government has already announced that new petrol and diesel cars cannot be sold after 2030. Without question, it is essential for the broader motor industry and indeed consumers that more students/technicians are trained on the type of equipment as soon as possible.
One of our large National clients conducted a National survey into Hybrid and Electric Vehicles and the publics’ current thinking.
The survey revealed that 49% of their drivers are thinking about a Hybrid and or Electric Vehicle as their next car.
The Hybrid and Electric Vehicle global revolution is well and truly underway, based on good environmental reasons. We have witnessed first-hand, that sales and orders have exponentially increased, fuel by the tide of environmental awareness and the ever-increasing demand for qualified technicians.
