We are thrilled to announce the first release of our brand-new Commercial Electric Vehicle Training Rig, which is based on a Ford Transit e425. We have design, modelled, fabricated and built our bespoke Commercial EV trainer, here at our Suffolk works.

As the Electric revolution moves forward, now having its foundations firmly established on the back of the exceptional success of sales of electric vehicles round the Global. The commercial and agricultural journey is now picking up serious pace and the requirement for trained staff to maintain, repair and build both cars and commercial vehicles grows by the day with a projected 160,000 vacancies in the sector will need filing by 2031.
Our newly finished, fully electric commercial vehicle trainer is essential tool for educating technicians and mechanics about the complexities of electric vehicles. The trainers simulate real-world scenarios and provide hands-on experience with EV components, systems, and technologies. The development of such training tools has evolved alongside the growth of the electric vehicle industry.

The concept of training individuals in electric vehicle technology began gaining traction as electric vehicles started to re-emerge in popularity during the later part of the 20th century. The introduction of hybrid vehicles like the Toyota Prius in 1997 marked a significant turning point, leading to increased interest in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle technology and the need for specialised training programs to build the labour force capable of working on Electric Vehicle of all kinds.
Our state-of-the-art, fully functioning Commercial EV trainer set to revolutionise the future of commercial and heavy goods vehicle training, providing hands-on experience with the latest electric vehicle technologies with extensive live data and fault insertion. This is the worlds first Commercial Electric Trainer and is leading the way forward in training.

Our CEV trainers are specialized educational tools designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in the field of electric and hybrid vehicles. These trainers simulate various components and systems found in electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid vehicles, allowing students and technicians to learn about their operation, maintenance, and repair.
These trainers focus on safety protocols when working with high-voltage systems found in electric vehicles. They provide a controlled environment for learners to practice using personal protective equipment (PPE), conduct isolation testing, and understand high-voltage interlock circuits.

The design allows the display of the internal components of electric vehicle systems, such as the drivetrain or battery systems. This design enables students to visualize how different parts interact within the vehicle’s architecture.
As the usage of EV is increasing, adopting commercial electric vehicles aligns with Global sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing carbon footprints and promoting environmentally friendly practices. Companies that invest in EVs, by default, enhance their brand reputation as socially responsible entities committed to reducing environmental impact.

Our Commercial Electric Vehicle trainer is now finished, loaded and has already started its series of demonstrations around the UK and Ireland visiting all those that logged their interest on our website www.blockautomotiveltd.co.uk.
